Eileen at Speakers' Bureau

Eileen Enrolls in Solar Energy Class

Recently Eileen Gould, President of Lifestyles Design, enrolled in a photovoltaics class at the West Valley Occupational Center, in order to enlarge her environmental skill set. Eileen really enjoyed the class and feels she's mastering a subject "that will be of great value to me in the future." Ultimately, she envisions teaching the fundamentals of "going green"' to other designers and contractors. She concludes with, "Solar power is such an integral part of our environment...! intend to implement 'green' now in all of my upcoming projects.''

Designing for Our Aging Population

Eileen gave the keynote address at an AARP-sponsored seminar, held at the Anaheim Convention Center. With Mary Alice Cole, her designer, Eileen spoke to over 43,000 people on the topics of design, construction, window treatments, fabrics, and surface materials for our aging population.

Rosarita Children's Home

In October 2006, Eileen went to Rosarita Beach, Mexico to facilitate the interior design of an existing orphanage that is a continuing project for the firm.

Lifestyles in the news

Recently, Eileen Gould and her staff volunteered to help repair and remodel a Women's Shelter in Santa Barbara. Both the beginning and completion of the job were covered in two broadcasts on Santa Barbara's ABC outlet, KEYT.

The 2003 Designer Appreciation Award

Eileen Gould, president of Lifestyles Design & Construction, was named the First Runner-Up recipient of the 2003 Designer Appreciation Award, given by the L.A. Mart & the L.A. Mart Furniture Association. As a valuable client of their furniture stores, their Home Furnishings showrooms have recognized Eileen for her loyalty to the L.A. Mart, her steadfast professionalism and her loyalty to her clients.
